COLTS NAME JASON FORD GENERAL MANAGER

Press Release

The Barrie Colts have announced today that Jason Ford will take over as the club’s new General Manager.

Ford has been the Assistant GM for the past five years and has spent a total of ten years in the organization.

“Its an honour to be given this opportunity,” said Ford. “I am the type of person that is going to roll up my sleeves and work hard to bring a championship to Barrie.”

Ford will also take on the responsibility of Head Scout, a position left this summer by Darrell Woodley.

“I have been around the league and evaluating players for a long time and with my educational background and experience as Assistant General Manager I am ready to take on this role,” said the Laurentian University graduate.

The Colts also announced on Tuesday that former Video Coach Dave Drinkill has been promoted to help with the scouting staff as he becomes the Assistant to the GM and Head Coach.

The Colts 6th Annual Golf Tournament takes place today at Tangle Creek Golf Course.
