VEES ACQUIRE BUCHANAN FROM VICTORIA

Press Release sent to me courtesy of the Penticton Vees

PENTICTON, BC – The Penticton Vees Hockey Club have traded Mike Moran (91) to the Victoria Grizzlies for Nick Buchanan (91).

Moran is 20 year-old forward who came to the Vees after graduating from Taft Prep School in Connecticut.

“It became very apparent that when we lost Nick Amies for possibly the remainder of the season, we were left with a tremendous void to fill.” Stated Vees Head Coach and GM Fred Harbinson.

“We believe Nick Buchanan will add size and experience to our D core.
Unfortunately we had to part ways with a quality player in Mike Moran to make this deal happen.”

Buchanan is a 20 year-old defenseman who is entering his third full season in the BCHL.

The 6’3 205lb, Victoria, BC native played in all sixty regular season games last season, scoring three goals and collecting 20 points. The rearguard has also has played in 16 playoff games in the past two years.

The entire Vees organization would like to thank Mike for contributions to the hockey club & community and wish him all the best in his future with the Victoria Grizzlies, and at the same time would like to welcome Nick to the organization.
