Mid Day Notes

Here's some NAHL notes from Michigan Junior Hockey. The Traverse City North Star traded Clinton Bourbonais to the St. Louis Bandits for Travis White.

Ohio State got a commitment from Sean Duddy who played for the Wichita Falls Wildcats last season. He will be attending OSU this fall. This is a very late commitment for the upcoming year.

The Tri-City Americans of the WHL have signed Zach Yuen their 1st round pick. With the North Shore Winterhawks AAA Bantams he had 12 goals, 34 assists, 46 points, and 108 penalty minutes. He won't be able to play full time until the 2009-2010 season.

The Senoir Chowder Cup begins on Thursday. It's a tournament in Boston and the rosters are filled with NCAA, CHL, CJAHL, USHL, and EJHL players. We aren't talking about star players but mostly depth guys. Some of the big names including two defenseman that were drafted by the Colorado Avalanche. Colorado's 1st Round pick in 2007 Kevin Shattenkirk who plays for Boston University and 2006 4th rounder Kevin Montgomery who played for the London Knights last year. The London Knights have half the team participating with the Ontario Knights. That includes their third round pick from this May in Jared Knight. John Henrion a 2009 New Hampshire recruit and a Under-18 National Team Development Program team member will be with Team Farrell.

I said yesterday Yasin Cisse will be with the Des Moines Buccaneers this season. That decision hasn't been made yet. He still deciding on where he wants to play next season.

That's My Take
