CN Continues to Promote a Safer and Healthier Prince George

For the past 10 seasons, CN has rewarded hard-working individuals and organizations in Prince George through the CN Community Ticket Program. Over 350 people received tickets to Cougars games in 2012-2013, all of whom are responsible for promoting a safer and healthier Prince George.

This season, tickets were allocated to the following groups:  Prince George RCMP, Prince George Firefighters, Big Brothers Big Sisters Prince George, the Salvation Army, 2618 Rocky Mountain Ranger Cadet Corps, and the Carrier Sekani Family Services “Walk Tall Program.”

“Thanks to the CN Community Ticket Program, hard-working community organizations are able to enjoy a night out at a Cougars game as a token of our appreciation for all they do for our city,” said Prince George Cougars Vice President Brandi Brodsky. “The fact that this program has been in place for 10 years speaks to its importance and we’re thankful to CN for providing this opportunity for groups in our community.”

Michael Cory, CN senior vice-president, Western Region, said: “CN is committed to working closely with a wide range of organizations that help improve the quality of life of the communities in which we operate. CN's Community Ticket Program helps enable those who might otherwise not have the means to attend Cougars' games."

In previous seasons, the CN Community Ticket Program has also helped organizations such as: Canadian Blood Services, Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Red Cross, Community Policing Prince George, Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign, Girl Guides of Canada, Prince George Native Friendship Centre and Youth Around Prince, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and the YMCA.
