Sunday Night WHL Playoff Hockey Live on SHAW

Press Release

BRETTON CAMERON AND THE MEDICINE HAT TIGERS TAKE ON JOEL BRODA AND THE CALGARY HITMEN FOR GAME SIX, LIVE ON SHAW – Bretton Cameron and the Medicine Hat Tigers welcome Joel Broda and the Calgary Hitmen for Game 6 of their Husky WHL Eastern Conference semi-final series in WHL playoff action on Sunday.

Sunday’s WHL playoff contest between the Tigers and Hitmen can be seen live throughout western Canada on SHAW and SHAW Direct channel 299 (6:00pm MST).

The Tigers are coming off a 5-4 victory over the Hitmen in Calgary on Friday night in Game 5 of the series, but still trail the best-of-seven series 2-3. The Tigers need a win on home ice on Sunday to send the series to a seventh and deciding game. Cameron scored his first goal of the series and his second goal of the playoffs in Friday’s Game 5 win.

The Hitmen fell to the Tigers in Calgary on Friday night in Game 5 of the series, but have another chance to win the series if they can tame the Tigers in Medicine Hat on Sunday. The Hitmen are 3-2 on the road so far in the 2010 playoffs. Broda has four goals and five points through five games of the series.

Should the Tigers win on Sunday, the Hitmen will host the Tigers for Game 7 of the best-of-seven series on Tuesday in Calgary, AB.
