VEES PERSONNEL MOVES

PENTICTON, BC-The Penticton Vees Hockey Club is looking to fill an opening within their off-ice staff.

Wednesday the club announced Athletic Trainer & Equipment Manager Geoff Carter is stepping down to pursue a career opportunity. Geoff has spent the last three years working for the Vees under Head Coach & GM Fred Harbinson.

“Geoff was not only a tireless worker but a great person and that is echoed by our staff and players. His experience and dedication to hockey showed in his work and will be difficult to replace. We wish him the best.”

Carter had an extensive hockey background before he joined the Vees staff in August of 2009. Most recently he was the Head Coach of the Calgary Royals Minor Midget AAA team. Prior to coaching, Carter played minor-pro in Florida and played his junior hockey in his home province of Nova Scotia.

Carter says it’s been an invaluable experience, “It has been a great three years with the Vees. I’ve made some great friendships with the staff, players and within the community. My time in Penticton betters me for my next journey and I look forward to returning to the South Okanagan and watching as a fan.”

The Penticton Vees organization would like to thank Geoff for his time with the team and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
