Miners 18U forward Hutchins signs NAHL tender with Topeka

Press Release

The Pikes Peak Miners, proud members of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL), have announced that 18U forward Connor Hutchins, 17, has signed a tender with the Topeka RoadRunners of the North American Hockey League (NAHL).

Hutchins, a native of North Richland Hills, Texas in suburban Ft. Worth, is currently tied for the scoring lead in the NAPHL’s 18U Division with 18 points (8 goals, 10 assists).  His eight goals ranks 2nd in the NAPHL 18U Division as do his 10 assists.  Eight of those points came during Pikes Peak’s four games at their last NAPHL event in San Jose, California, where the Miners posted a 3-0-1 record.

Hutchins (5’11/180) has registered at least a point in all nine of the Miners games this season, which included a four-point game in his first game of the season.  The Miners have a 6-2-1 record to date, but sit in 5th place in the emerging tough 18U White Division.
