Affiliate Joseph Cecconi joins the Lumberjacks for Sunday’s home game

MUSKEGON, Michigan (December 27th) – After being recently acquired in a trade by the Muskegon Lumberjacks from the Green Bay Gamblers that sent Forward Connor Hurley and a Phase One fourth-round pick to Green Bay in exchange for Defenseman Christian Wolanin, a Phase Two first round pick, and a Phase One third-round pick, affiliate Defenseman Joseph Cecconi will make his USHL debut with the Lumberjacks during this Sunday’s home game against the Youngstown Phantoms.

Cecconi, the Youngstown, New York native, was drafted by Green Bay in the fifth-round (70th overall) during the 2013 USHL Phase Two Draft.  This season, Cecconi is playing for the Buffalo Junior Sabres Minor Midget (Under-16) Team and has recorded 38 points (15 goals and 23 assists) in 39 games played.  Last season, the Lumberjacks’ prospect also played for the Buffalo Junior Sabres Minor Midget Team totaling 16 points (2 goals and 14 assists) in 61 games played.

Additionally, Cecconi is also the teammate of Lumberjacks’ affiliate Forward Owen Green on the Buffalo Junior Sabres Minor Midget Team.
