Press Release
The Guelph Storm Hockey Club announced today that James McEwan, the team's 10th round pick in 2013, has signed an Ontario Hockey League contract with the team.
The Chatham native has nine goals and twelve assists in 32 games playing with the Chatham Maroons so far this season.
Storm GM Mike Kelly said of James, “he had a very impressive training
camp with us in early September and followed that up with a very good
season with the Chatham Maroons. We are very pleased that James has
decided to further his hockey and academic development as part of the
Storm organization. The Storm wish to welcome James and his family to
the Guelph Storm family. As well we would like to thank the Chatham
Minor Hockey Association and the Chatham Maroons for developing both an
outstanding hockey prospect and outstanding young man."
McEwan will join the Storm for the games played over the holidays and
will return to the Maroons for the remainder of the season.
