O'Donnell to Guelph

Press Release

The Guelph Storm announced that they acquired overage forward Conor O'Donnell from the Winsdor Spitfires in exchange for a 6th round pick in 2010 and a 7th round selection in 2012.

O'Donnell, a Hamilton native, was originally drafted by the Brampton Battalion in the 11th round, 214th overall. The 20 year old played two years in Brampton with the Battalion before joining Windsor during the 2007-08 season. Last year he had a career high 24 points and was +22 in 45 games played.

O'Donnell comes to Guelph a reigning OHL and Memorial Cup Champion winning last season with the Spitfires. In 15 post season games, he recorded three points. Held off the scoresheet throughout the Memorial Cup, O'Donnell played in all eight tournament games.

Born in 1989, O'Donnell will take up the final overage spot on the Storm's 2009-10 roster.
