Bandits Hire Assistant Coach

Press Release

Brooks, Alberta, December 15, 2009 – The Brooks Bandits have named Brent Gunnlaugson as the Assistant Coach of the hockey club effective immediately.

Brent’s coaching background had seen him work in the Lethbridge Athletic Association for the past five seasons with both the Bantam & Midget AAA programs. His playing career finished with a two year tenure at Marion College (NCAA DIII).

Assistant Coach Brent Gunnlaugson, “I am pleased to be a part of this proud organization and I look forward to working with Coach Ryan Papaioannou, the Players and Bandit Board Members. My first look in the community was a special night at the Centennial Regional Arena, I am amazed at the quality of facility this community will call home. I am excited to be a part of the tradition that is the Brooks Bandits.”
