Express' Shibrowski headed to CC after break

Press Release

The Owatonna Express has announced that goaltender Mike Shibrowski will join the Colorado College (WCHA) hockey team after the holiday break.

In 23 appearances with the Express this season, Shibrowski, a 19-year-old from Edina, Minn., holds a 14-4-2 record to compliment a 3.09 goals-against average and a .895 save percentage.

“We're excited for Mike to be able to go to such a good school and a good hockey program,” said Express head coach Pat Cullen. “He’s worked extremely hard and is very deserving of this opportunity.”

Shibrowski will be the second NAHL goaltender to join a Division I program following the holiday break; the St. Louis Bandits’ Garrett Bartus will also begin his college career at the University of Connecticut (Atlantic Hockey) in January.
