COLTS ADD DEPTH ON BLUE LINE

Press Release

The Barrie Colts are proud to announce today that they have acquired defenseman Chris Buonomo from the Peterborough Petes. The Colts traded a fourth round draft pick in the 2013 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection, and a tenth round selection in 2011 in exchange for the native of Sault Ste. Marie.

The Petes also give Barrie a fifth round choice in 2011, a pick that originally belonged to the Guelph Storm.

Buonomo, 18, played 14 games for the Petes this season, registering three assists and 27 minutes in penalties. In 86 career games in the OHL, Buonomo has 12 points and 170 penalty minutes.

Buonomo will be wearing jersey number 20, and could be in the lineup tonight when the Colts host the Sudbury Wolves.
