Storm hires Mike Kelly as VP & GM

The Guelph Storm is pleased today to announce that Mike Kelly has joined the organization as Vice President & General Manager of the club. Jason Brooks will remain as the team’s Head Coach.

In his new role, Mike will oversee all hockey operations with the team. A former OHL Executive of the Year, Mike has had significant involvement in the OHL over the past several years including being one of the key drivers to the team’s development and successes in the first decade of its existence.

Rick Hoyle, President of the Guelph Storm, commented, “We are very pleased to have someone of Mike’s caliber and background join the organization. We know he will continue to both represent and develop the values and successes of the Guelph Storm in the future.”

Mike Kelly commented, “I am extremely pleased to return to the Ontario Hockey League and am particularly happy to return to the Guelph Storm. The Storm were a major part of my life for many years. The team has continued with its winning ways for the past several years and I am excited about helping the team move forward with its goals to achieve an OHL championship.

The Storm returns to action Friday night as they host the Belleville Bulls at the Sleeman Centre for a 7:30 pm start.
