Press Release

Toronto, ON – The Ontario Hockey League today announced that forward and co-recipient of the OHL’s Top Scorer Award Tyler Toffoli of the Ottawa 67’s is the OHL Player of the Week for the third time this season. Toffoli finished the 2010-11 regular season with five goals and two assists for seven points in two games with a plus-minus rating of plus-5 for the week ending March 20.

Toffoli’s efforts helped lead the 67’s to their second straight East Division title with a clinching win over the Oshawa Generals on Friday night. He scored once and setup the game-winner as second star of the 4-3 win. Toffoli then entered the final day of the regular season three points behind Jason Akeson of the Kitchener Rangers for first place in the OHL scoring race.
