League Suspends Bloodoff Four Games

Press Release

The Western Hockey League has announced that Kelowna Rockets forward Evan Bloodoff is suspended for four games for receiving a major and game misconduct for charging in the game against Vancouver on March 19.

Kelowna Rockets president/general manager Bruce Hamilton said the Rockets thoughts are with the injured Vancouver player.

"We're just happy the player that was injured wasn't injured more seriously and we hope he has a full recovery," said Hamilton. "It was a dangerous hit and I hope all our players, and all the players that were in that game, learn from that."

Bloodoff, 20, will be eligible for game five of the Rockets first round playoff series against Prince George. Games one and two are in Kelowna this Friday and Saturday.
