Sieloff Commits to Miami University

Team USA defenseman Patrick Sieloff has committed to play collegiate hockey at Miami University following his USHL career.

The 16-year-old has collected four points (1g, 3a) and a plus-two rating in 29 USHL games this season for Team USA's Under-17 squad. Sieloff is also second on the team with 58 penalty minutes. The native of Ann Arbor, Michigan scored his first career USHL goal last month in the 3-2 shootout loss to Youngstown on February 25th.

Sieloff is one of four players on Team USA that is committed to play collegiate hockey at Miami - Tyler Biggs (Team USA), Ryan Hartman (Team USA), Connor Murphy (Team USA). Ten other current USHL players are also committed to Miami University following their USHL careers; Jimmy Mullin (Fargo Force), Austin Czarnik (Green Bay Gamblers), Ryan McKay (Green Bay Gamblers), Blake Coleman (Indiana Ice), Sean Kuraly (Indiana Ice), Alex Wideman (Indiana Ice), Cody Murphy (Tri-City Storm), Jay Williams (Waterloo Black Hawks), Ben Paulides (Youngstown Phantoms), and Alex Gacek (Youngstown Phantoms).

Miami University is a member of the CCHA and recently won the conference tournament championship while also earning a #4 seed in the NCAA tournament. Sixteen USHL alumni are on the RedHawks roster this season; Carter Camper (Lincoln Stars), Pat Cannone (Cedar Rapids RoughRiders), Max Cook (Indiana Ice/Green Bay Gamblers), Joe Hartman (Indiana Ice/Sioux City Musketeers), Garrett Kennedy (Indiana Ice), Vincent LoVerde (Waterloo Black Hawks), Andy Miele (Chicago Steel/Cedar Rapids RoughRiders), Byron Paulazzo (Indiana Ice), Cody Reichard (Indiana Ice), Cameron Schilling (Indiana Ice), Steven Spinell (Fargo Force), Patrick Tiesling (Sioux Falls Stampede), Matt Tomassoni (Cedar Rapids RoughRiders), Trent Vogelhuber (Des Moines Buccaneers), Will Weber (Chicago Steel), and Chris Wideman (Cedar Rapids RoughRiders).
