Placing Betz with Free Agent Signing

PRINCE GEORGE, BC – The Prince George Spruce Kings of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) have signed Michael Betz as a free agent.

From Kelowna British Columbia, Betz is a 6'2" 205lbs 19 year old forward with Junior A and Major Junior experience. Betz has played a total of 56 games split between the Trail Smoke Eaters and the Penticton Vees collecting 39 points (17 goals and 22 assists) through two seasons (2009-10 and 2010-11). He has also suited up in 32 games with the Spokane Chiefs as a 16 and 17 year old player.

"Michael Betz is a player with tremendous skills and will come in and help add some more scoring depth to our lineup," said Spruce Kings General Manager, Mike Hawes. "He is a player who has had success in our league in the past and he will be given an opportunity to have success with us."

Betz is expected to be in the Spruce Kings lineup for the team’s double header at home with the Westside Warriors on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.
