Jeff Twohey Appointed General Manager of Oshawa Generals

The Oshawa Generals announced today the hiring of Jeffrey Twohey to the position of General Manager.

President and Governor Rocco Tullio commented, “We are very excited to welcome Jeff Twohey to the Generals family. Jeff brings with him a wealth of experience and a strong standing in the hockey community. He is a well-respected individual and we know he will work hard for us.”

Twohey served as General Manager with the Peterborough Petes for 17 years beginning in 1993. During his time with the Petes, he oversaw the development of 45 NHL draft picks including first round picks Lucas Krajicek, Eric Staal, Jordan Staal, Zach Bogosian, and Zack Kassian. During his time as General Manager, Twohey built two Ontario Hockey League (OHL) Championship teams, winning titles in 1996 and 2006.

Before becoming General Manager, Twohey served as Assistant Coach and Assistant General Manager with Peterborough, helping them to OHL Championships in 1989 and 1993.

Most recently, Twohey worked for the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League (NHL) as an Amateur Scout and has also scouted for the Dallas Stars of the NHL.
