Press Release

The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) and Under Armour, Inc. (NYSE:UA) announced today a partnership to again join forces to test and develop some of Canada’s best draft-eligible hockey players. Under Armour, a leader in sports performance apparel, footwear and accessories, and the QMJHL will host draft-eligible elite hockey players through on and off-ice testing to showcase their endurance, reaction times, speed, agility and strength in the 2012 QMJHL Hockey Combine.

The three-day QMJHL Combine event will take place at the Centre d’Excellence Sports Rousseau from April 27th to the 29th in Boisbriand, Quebec. Eighty of the top-ranked athletes have been selected by the QMHL to be rigorously tested by Under Armor, and to participate in games and skill development sessions. Key QMJHL scouts will attend to observe these athletes one last time before the 2012 draft.

Current NHL stars including Mike Fisher (Predators), Henrik Zetterberg (Red Wings), Tyler Seguin (Bruins), Rick Nash (Blue Jackets), Phil Kessel (Maple Leafs) and Brad Richards (Rangers) are all part of the elite roster of Under Armour athletes.
