AJHL Player of the Week

October 12th, 2009 – Defenceman Matthew Register of the Bonnyville Pontiacs is the Source for Sports AJHL Player of the Week for the week of October 5th – October 11th, 2009.

Register leads the Pontiacs in scoring after a 7 point week in which he accumulated 4 goals and 3 assists. Register has recorded goals in 6 consecutive games, and is riding a 7 game point streak totalling 16 points. Register has recorded 2 Game Winning Goals in 11 games for the Pontiacs this season (9-2-0-0) and is currently 11th overall in the AJHL Scoring Race.

The 20 year-old defenceman has played in 118 regular season games for the Pontiacs since joining the team in 2006-2007.

The AJHL is proud to partner with Source for Sports to recognize the AJHL Player of the Week for the 2009-2010 AJHL Season. The recipients of the award will also receive a Source for Sports Gift Certificate.
