Grant traded to Chilliwack

Press Release

The Chilliwack Bruins announced today that they have acquired 20 year old forward Colton Grant from the Medicine Hat Tigers in exchange for a sixth round pick in the 2010 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft.

Grant, who was originally selected by the Tri City Americans with the 22nd overall pick in the 2004 WHL Bantam Draft has spent his entire playing career with the Tigers, scoring 28 goals and 39 assists in 211 games. Grant was a member of the Tigers team that captured the 2007 WHL Championship.

“Colton is a character player who brings a great deal of winning experience to our club,” said Bruins General Manager and Head Coach Marc Habscheid. “He’s proven to be very good penalty killer in our league and he is the type of player that will help us build a solid foundation here.”

Next action for the Bruins is Friday night when they host the Medicine Hat Tigers.
