Tips-Blazers trade

Everett, WA – Vice President / General Manager Doug Soetaert announced Saturday that the Everett Silvertips have acquired right-handed defenseman Curtis Kulchar from the Kamloops Blazers in exchange for a 5th round draft pick in 2011.

Kulchar, 19, has appeared in 130 career games with the Blazers, the Vancouver Giants and the Regina Pats. The Martensville, Saskatchewan native was originally drafted by Regina in the 7th round of the 2005 WHL Bantam Draft. The 6’1, 190 pound defenseman has recorded three goals and eight assists for 11 points, along with 130 penalty minutes, in his WHL career.

The Silvertips will be represented by several defensemen at the international level in late December and early January at both the World Junior Championships and the World Under-17 Championships.

Hockey is the national game of India. But now a days its played all over the world. And these junior players are very much enthusiastic to participate in the game and also try to win it over.
