MANN COMMITS TO ROBERT MORRIS

Press Release

Markham Waxers defenceman Robert Mann (pictured with Whitby Fury - photo credit: Brian Watts/OJHL) has confirmed his commitment to join the Robert Morris University Colonials beginning with the 2012-13 Atlantic Hockey season.

The 6' 3", 215 lbs. native of Oshawa, Ontario played his first OJHL game as an affiliated 16-year old midget with the Whitby Fury back in 2009-10. After playing three games for the Fury that season, he joined the club full-time in 2010-11, recording seven goals and twenty-five points in 45 games played to finish second among the team's defencemen in scoring.

Midway through this season, after notching another 11 points in 21 games for the Fury, Mann was moved to the Markham Waxers, where he has anchored the club's back-end this season, especially following the loss of rearguard Stephen Midensky to the OHL's Kitchener Rangers. He currently leads all Fury d-men in scoring with 24 assists and 26 points and sits second among all players with 17 power play assists.

Congratulations to Rob and best of luck the rest of this season and beyond!
