Press Release

The name of the 3 finalists for the Humanitarian and Community Involvement Trophy presented by the Public Relations firm NATIONAL, were revealed today. Andrew Molson, chairman of the Public Relations firm NATIONAL and Coors, will award the trophy during the Golden Puck Awards Gala on April 4th at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Montreal.

The finalists are:

Konrad Abeltshauser of the Halifax Mooseheads
Vincent Barnard of the Québec Remparts
Cédrick Henley of the Val-d'Or Foreurs

The Humanitarian and Community Involvement Trophy is awarded annually to the player having contributed the most to the well-being of his community and participated in nurturing his team's and the league's non-profit undertakings.

"We received many nominations from our teams and it was certainly a difficult task to sort through them" said Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Commissioner Gilles Courteau. "After going through the candidates, I can confirm that we have several players who are heavily invested in their communities and in so doing are outstanding role models."

"It's impressive to see the time that QMJHL players invest in their communities" said Andrew Molson, chairman of the Public Relations firm NATIONAL and Coors. "These players are excellent role models for young people and I am proud to present this trophy."
