The Chilliwack Chiefs are pleased to announce goaltender Mitch Gillam has committed to Cornell University for the 2013-2014 season.
Gillam was named the Chiefs Co MVP for the 2011-12 season after registering 23 wins to go along with a goals against average of 3.10 and a save percentage of 91.1. Gillam was also named one of the game’s three stars in four of the Chiefs six playoff games versus the Penticton Vees.
Gillam is the fourth Chief to secure an NCAA scholarship this season. He joins David Thompson (Penn State 2013), Anderson White (Alabama Huntsville 2012) and Malcolm Gould (Michigan Tech 2012).
