Spirit Make Second Trade of the Week, Povorozniouk Moves On to Kingston

The Saginaw Spirit announce today that the team has traded second year forward Sam Povorozniouk to the Kingston Frontenacs. In exchange, Saginaw receives the Frontenacs 3rd round pick in the 2016 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection. Earlier this week, the Spirit acquired veteran defenseman Jason Shaw from the Belleville Bulls, and it is expected he will make his debut with Saginaw on Saturday, November 17 when the Spirit host Brampton.

A native of Northbrook IL, Povorozniouk appeared in 69 career games with the Spirit recording 4 goals and 4 assists. This season he took the ice in 18 games with 2 goals and 2 assists.
