ANGIOLELLA COMMITS TO NIAGARA

Press Release

Aurora Tigers forward Robert Angiolella (photo credit - Tim Bates/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Niagara University Purple Eagles beginning with the 2014-15 Atlantic Hockey Association season.

The Richmond Hill, Ontario native played his first OJHL games as a 16-year old affiliated midget with the Vaughan Vipers, recording two assists in eight games played during the 2009-10 season.  Angiolella joined the league full-time the following season as a member of the Markham Waxers, where he would play the next two seasons.  Despite some injury struggles, he would post consistent offensive numbers for the club, recording 47 points in 58 regular season games played over the two years.  With the Waxers ceasing operations entering 2012-13, Angiolella joined the Tigers this season and has not disappointed, leading the club with 22 goals, while also sitting fourth in scoring with 38 points in 38 games played.  Along with the scholarship to Niagara, his efforts also earned Angiolella a spot on the OJHL North Division All-Stars that competed at the 2012 Central Canada Cup All-Star Challenge held in Wellington, Ontario.

Congratulations to Robert and best of luck throughout the rest of his OJHL career and beyond!
