Press Release
Milton Icehawks alternate captain Kane Elliot (photo credit - Andy Corneau/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Mercyhurst College Lakers beginning with the 2014-15 Atlantic Hockey season.
The 5'10", 175 lbs. native of Mississauga, joined the club as a
16-year old in 2010-11 and would record 10 points in 43 games played
while gaining valuable Junior 'A' experience. Last season he returned
as one of the club's go-to guys and would not disappoint, leading the
Icehawks with 27 goals, which also tied him for 14th in the entire
OJHL. Finishing fourth in overall scoring on the club with 47 points in
46 games played, Elliot got his first taste of playoff experience,
notching five points in four games played. Entering this season with
heaps of expectations, Elliot started the year with a bang, firing 11
points in his first six games and continued on the tear until early
November when an injury forced him to miss a month of the season.
Despite the lost games, Elliot still finished eighth on the club in
scoring with 10 goals and 31 points in 26 games played.
Congratulations to Kane and best of luck as he closes out his OJHL career next season!
