O'hara commits to Mercyhurst

Whitby Fury defenceman Jonathan O'Hara (photo credit - Shawn Muir/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Mercyhurst University Lakers beginning with the 2015-16 Atlantic Hockey season.

The Penetang, Ontario native joined the Fury last season as a 17-year old after previously having played for the North Central Predators Minor Midget 'AAA' squad and his hometown Penetang Kings Junior 'C' club.  Last season O'Hara finished third in scoring among the club's rearguards with 12 points in 47 regular season games played and has already bettered those totals thus far this season, notching 3 goals and 14 points thus far in just 31 games played, while also attending the Team Canada East Selection Camp.
