Cornell Gets Iles

USHR is reporting that Ithaca native, Andy Iles (5' 9", 165), a 1992-born goalie has selected Cornell over Boston College, Harvard, New Hampshire, and Providence. Andy, who currently attends the Salisbury School, is widely considered among the top '92-born goalie prospects in North America. Andy currently has a goals against average of 1.47 and a save percentage of .91. Last year, as a sophomore, Andy was one of the top goalies in NE prep play with a goals against average of 1.22 and a save percentage of .95. Andy was among the top goalies at last summer's Select 16 Festival, where he finished with the highest save percentage and the second lowest goals against average. Andy was selected to represent the USA at the Under-17 Five Nations tournament in Slovakia over the summer, where he posted a 2.50 goals against average and a .91 save percentage. In 2007, Andy led Ithaca High School to a state record 5th championship. That season saw Andy post some amazing regular season numbers for the Little Red, including 9 shutouts, a 0.93 goals against average, and a .96 save percentage.

Cornell also got Rodger Craig a forward with the Okotoks Oilers of the Alberta Junior Hockey League. The 17 year old has seven goals and eight assists in 41 games.
