MJAHL Draft in Bridgewater

The 2010 MJAHL Draft and Annual General meeting are scheduled to take place in Bridgewater June 11th and 12th and the host Lumberjacks have been making preparations for a smooth weekend. On Friday, June 11th, the MJAHL Board of Governors will meet for their AGM, followed by the second Annual Jed Ritcey Golf Challenge and reception at the Osprey Ridge Golf Club. On Saturday morning, the teams will participate in the QMJHL Supplementray Draft, followed by a General Managers meeting. The 2010 Midget draft will begin at 1:15 pm at the Bridgewater Memorial Arena.

"The Lumberjacks organization is excited about hosting the 2010 Draft", sadi Lumberjacks Governor David Walker. "In addition to it being the first time, it will allow us to showcase Osprey Ridge Golf Course as well as provide our fans with an opportunity, as a new franchise, to see how the Draft works. Our organizing committee are working hard at ensuring that things go well and teams and players have a great time."

In addition to the regular draft itinerary, the host team have plans to provide additional entertainment for fans that are interested in the draft. "We are organizing a fan-fest series of events on the morning of the Draft", adds Walker. "This will occur in the parking lot of the Bridgewater Memorial Arena. We are hoping there will be something for everyone."
