OHL Announces 2010-11 Exhibition Game Schedule

Toronto, ON – The Ontario Hockey League today announced the exhibition game schedule for the 2010-11 season.

The schedule includes 49 games beginning on Friday September 3, 2010, and wrapping up on Sunday September 19, 2010.

Highlights of the 2010-11 exhibition game schedule include the Kitchener Rangers and Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors hosting the QMJHL’s Rouyn-Noranda Huskies. The Huskies visit the Rangers when the schedule opens on September 3rd, with the Majors hosting the Huskies on September 5th in Oakville, ON, which is one of eight exhibition games being played at alternate venues. The Majors will also host the Peterborough Petes on September 10th in Milton, ON, and the Owen Sound Attack September 12th in Streetsville, ON. The Plymouth Whalers have two off-site games including a September 4th matchup against the Windsor Spitfires in Chelsea, Michigan, and on September 11th against the London Knights in St. Thomas, ON. The Oshawa Generals host the Belleville Bulls on September 12th in Port Perry, ON, with the Generals visiting the Brampton Battalion on September 15th in a game to be played in Pickering, ON. The Saginaw Spirit will also host the Sarnia Sting September 18th at the Saginaw Bay Arena.

The 680-game OHL regular season opens with two games on Thursday September 23, 2010.
