Gibbons Commits to Canisius College

Lincoln Stars forward Kyle Gibbons has committed to play hockey at Canisius College following his USHL career.

Gibbons tied for third in scoring for the Stars with 29 points (14g, 15a) in 56 games during his first USHL season. He led the squad with six power play goals. The recently turned 19-year-old scored a goal during his debut in the League on October 2nd, 2009 in the season opening 5-2 loss to Fargo. The forward from Westlake, Ohio registered a hat trick, scoring three goals in the 6-5 overtime loss to Des Moines on February 6th.

Located in Buffalo, New York, Canisius College is a member of the Atlantic Hockey Association. One former USHL player was on the roster for the Griffins during the 2009-10 campaign; Eric Rex who spent the 2006-07 season in the USHL with the Ohio Junior Blue Jackets.
