QMJHL loses former great

BOUCHERVILLE, Sunday, May 23, 2010 - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League today is in mourning following the loss of former Laval Voisins forward Michel Mongeau, who has passed away at the age of 45.

Mongeau played his entire four-year career with the Voisins, including two with former superstar Mario Lemieux.

He collected 180 goals and 248 assists in only 223 games.

The entire Quebec Major Junior Hockey League family extends its condolences to the Mongeau family.
