MJHL Draft goes May 30th

Press Release

Nick Kobelka of Beausejour described it one of the best moments in his young hockey life - being selected first overall by Steinbach Pistons in the MJHL Bantam Draft.

Just who will be the first overall pick this year is still a mystery. But what is known is this: the annual draft is the beginning of many an outstanding junior career for young Manitoba hockey players.

The sixth annual draft of 15 year old Manitoba players (players born in 1995) will take place May 30 at Winnipeg’s Canad Inns (Polo Park), explained MJHL Commissioner Kim Davis.

Draft day action kicks off at 9 a.m.

The draft will include 10 rounds and is guaranteed to be an exciting time for the players selected, and for the 11 MJHL clubs who are at the draft tables.

The complete list of pick order by round will be posted to the MJHL website in the week prior to the Draft.
