The Salmon Arm SilverBacks are pleased to announce rookie forward Bryce Gervais has committed to Minnesota State University – Mankato for the 2012 season.
"We are excited for Bryce and proud of this achievement," said SilverBacks head coach Tim Kehler. "This commitment follows years of hard work and perseverance and is another accolade in what has been a tremendous first season in the BCHL."
In addition to earning Top Rookie honors amongst his SilverBack peers, Gervais was also selected Rookie of the Year in the Interior Conference. He was also named to the BCHL All Rookie Team.
The former Prince Albert Minto standout contributed 29 goals and 22 assists in 58 regular season games with the Backs. He becomes the seventh player on the Salmon Arm roster to secure an NCAA Div. I scholarship.
