Two Quebec Major Junior Hockey League veterans are now Humboldt Broncos.
1991 F Emrik Guillemette had a goal and an assist in his Bronco debut, while 1991 D Jonahtan Parisien added an assist in his first game, as Humboldt doubled Notre Dame 6-3. That's Humboldt's 11th straight win, and vaults them over Battlefords into top spot for the first time this season.
Guillemette spent a season and a half with Baie-Comeau, and another year and a half with Chicoutimi. He had 13g-16a-29p in 61 games last season, and stands 6'2” 228 lbs.
Parisien is a 6'2” 195 lb defenseman, and played 3 and a half seasons in Baie-Comeau, part of last season in Lewiston, and began this season in Halifax, all in the QMJHL. He had 20 points and 94 PIM's last season.
Andrew Johnston had a 3 point (1g-2a) night for the Broncos (28-10-1-2) on Sunday, while Colin Dzijacky won his 2nd straight start making 23 saves.
Carson Grolla scored his 13th goal of the season for the Hounds (13-22-0-3), to lead all SJHL defensemen.
