B’s Lead League with 6 Tabbed; 5 More to Prospects Game

Press Release

MARLBORO, MA-The Junior Bruins, sitting atop the league standings, are off to another great start to the season and a new category they lead the league in can be added to the list now that the Empire League All Star selections have been announced. The B’s will send more players to the All Star game festivities than any other team in the Eastern and Western Conferences with 6 players being selected to participate. There are five others who will suit up from the B’s organization as well in the Prospects Game.
Defensemen Kyle Webb and josh Couturier along with forwards Jack Eichel, Conor Garland and Tyler Warila will join goalie Matt Penta in representing the Eastern Conference. Eichel will not be able to play in the game but was named to the team. He will be in Austria representing Team USA at the Youth Winter Olympics.

The Prospects game, featuring the top young players in the league, will include defensemen Mat Harris, Ryan Blais and forwards Cam Carbone, Nate Knox and Matt Dillon.

“It is a nice honor for the players selected and as we talk about often, with team success comes individual success and honors,” coach Chris Masters commented. “These selections are really a reflection of how good the players have done this year as a team and putting their individual success second.”

The All Star and Prospects game will take place at Tri Town Arena in  Hooksett, NH on January 15/16. For full details visit the www.empirehockey.com site or the www.easternjunior.com site for a press release.
