The second-year forward’s career-best month included seven goals and nine assists, while helping the Vipers to a record of 5-2. After starting the month scoreless during a shootout victory over division rival St. Michael’s, Fulton set-off on a six game point streak that saw him record 16 points. Included during the stretch was a four point outing during another division victory over Mississauga, as well as his first OJHL hat trick and career-best six point effort during a win over Pickering. The speedster currently leads or is tied for the lead on the Vipers in goals, assists, points, power play goals (10), shorthanded assists (2) and game-winning goals (4). Fulton’s 10 power play goals place him tied for fifth overall in the league, while his 29 assists are the eighth best total overall.

Fulton described his feelings upon hearing of the award, “It's really an honour to be recognized by the OJHL for my play in the month of December. We had some big wins this month and I couldn't be happier being a part of everything that's going on here with the Vipers.” He continued by discussing the season thus far, “I'm really happy with how everything has developed with Vaughan this season. We have a great coaching staff and a solid group of guys on the team which makes coming to the rink and performing my best really easy."

Vipers General Manager and Head Coach Jason Fortier discussed the importance of his star forward, “Travis is a very fast player with an excellent work ethic. He leads by example on and off the ice and has been a key player for us and our team has shown much improvement since the start of the season. Our last 18 games, we are 13 wins and 5 losses.”

Mark Cooper of the St. Michael’s Buzzers was runner-up to Fulton as the South-East Conference Player-of-the-Month. The second-year native of Scarborough, Ontario notched 16 points in 10 games played for the Buzzers throughout the month of December.
