The Okotoks Oilers announce that Houston Hazelaar has left the team to pursue school back home in Medicine Hat, AB. Hazelaar has been with the Oilers since the end of the 2009 / 2010 hockey season. Hazelaar recorded 21 goals and 62 points in 93 career games for the Oilers.

“The entire organization would like to thank Houston for his loyalty towards the Oiler hockey program and commitment that he brought to the team during his tenure,” states Head Coach James Poole. “Houston will be missed on and off the ice by all his teammates, coaches and staff. We wish him the best of luck in his academic endeavors and success as he moves forward in his post hockey career.”
