QMJHL launches new mobile application powered by TELUS

The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) is thrilled to announce today’s launch of a brand new mobile application powered by TELUS, one that is sure to delight fans of junior hockey. With only a few clicks, they will now be able to access all of the latest entertainment and news from the QMJHL, including video broadcasts of the games for mobile devices. The QMJHL application is now available as a free download for iPhones and the full range of smartphones powered by Android*.

“Fans of junior hockey are constantly seeking out new products and new ways to keep track of the QMJHL and its teams. The new QMJHL mobile application will meet their needs for entertainment and information in a timely way,” notes QMJHL Commissioner Gilles Courteau. “Once again, our partnership with TELUS has enabled us to innovate -- to the great benefit of our fans. I would also like to thank The Commercial Group (Newsportmedia), President Cary Moretti and his staff, for their cooperation in making this new APP possible”

The QMJHL application grants access to the latest league news, a calendar of games, and team statistics and standings. As a result of TELUS’ involvement, sports fans can also watch nearly 20 QMJHL regular-season games as well as a many playoff games directly on their smartphones, anywhere and at any time.
