SJHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Nathan Boyer, La Ronge Ice Wolves
1992 F Nathan Boyer (Prince Albert, SK) scored 4 times and added 2 assists in only 3 games last week. One of just a handful of returnees from last year's Credit Union Cup champs, Boyer has elevated his game in an increased role, already tripling last year's goal total, now sitting with 15g-20a-35p in 38 games.

SJHL DEFENSEMAN OF THE WEEK
Byron Sorensen, La Ronge Ice Wolves
1991 D Byron Sorensen (Kyle, SK) decide to continue his education this year, but after one semester of university, decided to come back to the Ice Wolves, and they're happy to have him back. Sorensen, who was paired with Co-Playoff MVP Dayton Fossum last year, racked up 4-goals and 6-points in his first 2 games back.

SJHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK
Matt Hrynkiw, Humboldt Broncos
1992 G Matt Hrynkiw has been thrust into a bigger role with the recent departure of 20-year-old Deven Dubyk to the Western League, and he's been up to the task. Hrynkiw was flawless in two starts this week, posting back-to-back shutouts against Notre Dame and Yorkton, stopping all 53 shots he faced. Hrynkiw now has 3 shutouts on the season, to go along with his 16-2 record. The Broncos are now winners of their last 14 games.
