FENNELL HEADING TO NORTHEASTERN

Press Release

Aurora Tigers captain Jarrett Fennell (photo credit - Brian Watts/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Northeastern University Huskies beginning with the 2012-13 Hockey East season.

The 20-year old native of Innisfil, Ontario started his OJHL career as a 17-year old in 2008-09 as a member of the Collingwood Blues and would spend two seasons patrolling the club's back-end. After a brief five game stint with the newly named Collingwood Blackhawks last season, the now veteran rearguard was moved to the Aurora Tigers early on and made an immediate impact for the club. Taking over as captain this season, the 6'2", 190 lbs. defenceman was one of the club's leaders on-and-off the ice, finishing with career-highs that included six goals and twenty-two points, while helping lead the Tigers into the second round of the playoffs.

Congratulations to Jarrett and best of luck at Northeastern next season and beyond!
