Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Jr. K-Wings, proud members of the North American Hockey League’s North division, announce the addition of forward Mac McDonnell.
McDonnell,
a twenty-year-old right-winger from Allen Park, Michigan, comes to the
Jr. K-Wings after spending the last two seasons with the Erie Otters of
the Ontario Hockey League.
In each
of the last two seasons, McDonnell played in 62 regular season games,
totaling a career number of 124 games played during his OHL career. In
2010-11, the right handed shooting winger was able to tally eight goals
and ten assists. The following season, McDonnell poured in seven goals,
and was credited with six assists for thirteen points. He has also
skated in seven playoff games in 2011, but was unable to register a
point.
McDonnell
didn’t suit up this season for the Otters, and he is set to join a
Kalamazoo team that has lost two straight games, and is looking for more
offensive production. McDonnell is poised to make his Jr. K-Wings debut
tonight, against the Michigan Warriors, a team that Kalamazoo is 12-2
against over the course of the last two seasons. He will wear number 19
for the Jr. K-Wings.
