'Backs Add Loverock Deadline

Press Release

The Salmon Arm SilverBacks are very happy to announce the signing of Spencer Loverock from the Peninsula Panthers of the VIJHL.

Spencer has had a break-out rookie season with the Panthers, he's currently tied for the team lead in scoring on the back end, sitting seventh overall with five goals and 13 assists for 18 points including three power-play goals over 35 games.

'Backs GM Troy Mick speaks highly of the '95 born Sidney, B.C product.

"Spencer is an excellent skater and will fit in perfectly with our young, mobile group; he also provides us with added depth on the back end as we push towards the playoffs. He's grown as player in North Saanich and we're excited to see how his skills adapt to the BCHL."

Prior to this season, as a 16 year old, Spencer was able to crack the Panthers lineup in time for their playoff run.

The SilverBacks would like to welcome Spencer and his family to the organization, and wish him the best of luck with his new club in what is becoming a noteworthy campaign for Salmon Arm.
