Blades Acquire Valcourt From Chiefs

Press Release

The Saskatoon Blades are very proud to announce the acquisition of left-winger Collin Valcourt from the Spokane Chiefs.

In exchange for the 19 year old from Red Deer, Alberta, the Blades have dealt a 1st round selection in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft and a 5th round selection in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft.

Valcourt is 6'2, 205 pounds and is currently in his 3rd WHL season, having spent all of his career with the Chiefs organization.  This season, Valcourt has posted 13 goals and 23 points in 41 games.  To go along with that, he's put up 70 PIMs with 6 fights and a +1 rating.

"Collin is a big powerful kid that we are excited to add to our lineup," said Blades Head Coach and General Manager Lorne Molleken.  "He's physical and pays a price to succeed.  He comes from a successful program in Spokane and brings a ton of experience to our club".

The Saskatoon Blades would like to welcome Collin and his family to the organization.
