Crusaders Josh Healey commits to Ohio State University

The Sherwood Park Crusaders are extremely proud to announce that defenseman Josh Healey has committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes for the 2013-14 season.

Josh is currently in his second season with the Crusaders. He is from Edmonton and is a Southside Athletic Club Alumni. “Josh’s game has developed rapidly over the course of two seasons,” says General Manager/Head Coach Tim Fragle. “Josh consistently leads our team on a nightly basis in many areas as he is a tough defender that plays in all situations."
Healey represented the Crusaders and Team Canada West at the 2012 World Junior A Championship this past November where he earned a silver medal.

“ I would like to thank my family, friends and especially my parents for all their support as well the Crusaders organization in helping me through the complete process of obtaining this scholarship,” says Josh Healey.
The Crusaders organization would like to congratulate Josh and his family on his commitment to  Ohio State and would like to wish him the best in his future endeavors.

Josh becomes the 6th Crusader player from this year’s team to commit to a NCAA hockey program. Mike Berry-Bentley University, Andrew Taverner-Quinnipiac University, Danny Smith-RIT, Marshall Donald-Northern Michigan University, Matt Tomkins-Ohio State.
