Ice Brothers Commit to Quinnipiac University

The Indiana Ice announced that forwards Bo Pieper and Canon Pieper have committed to Quinnipiac University and the brothers will begin their collegiate careers in the fall of 2014.

Canon, 19, has played in all 37 games for the Ice this season and produced 13 points (5g, 8a).  Bo, 18, has collected 10 points (2g, 8a) while appearing in 36 games this season.  It is the second year in the USHL for the natives of Roseville, Minnesota after spending the 2011-12 as teammates with the Chicago Steel.
The Piepers join Ice teammate Joe Fiala who is also committed to Quinnipiac University.  They will be the second set of brothers on the team who once played for the Indiana Ice as defensemen Alex Barron (2010-12) and Loren Barron (2008-09) are currently on the roster at the school.  Three other current USHL players are also committed to Quinnipiac; Peter Quenneville (Dubuque Fighting Saints), Connor Clifton (Team USA), and Sam Anas (Youngstown Phantoms).

Quinnipiac University is a member of the ECAC and has eight USHL alumni on the roster this season; Ben Arnt (Omaha Lancers), Loren Barron (Indiana Ice), Alex Barron (Waterloo/Indiana), Mike Dalhuisen (Lincoln/Chicago), Eric Hartzell (Sioux Falls Stampede), Cory Hibbeler (Lincoln Stars), Soren Jonzzon (Youngstown/Tri-City), and Jordan Samuels-Thomas (Waterloo Black Hawks).
