Just a couple hours after
announcing the return of Alex Khokhlachev, General Manager Warren
Rychel has added more speed and scoring to the club's forward group.
The Spitfires have dealt forward Zach Lorentz to the Plymouth Whalers in exchange for overager Alex Aleardi.
Aleardi, 20, has played
293 OHL games with Kitchener, Belleville and Plymouth, putting up 92
goals and 93 assists with a +27 rating.
Lorentz was acquired from Peterborough back on November 22nd
along with defenceman Trevor Murphy in the trade that saw defenceman
Brandon Devlin and winger Derek Schoenmakers head to the Petes.
“This trade gives Zach an
opportunity to join a good Plymouth team,” said General Manager Warren
Rychel. “Getting Alex gives us some speed and frontline scoring.”
In 15 games for Windsor, Lorentz scored one goal and added five assists with a +1 rating.
Aleardi has been a
consistent contributor in his last two seasons with Plymouth; scoring 51
goals and adding 43 assists in 107 games.
